There are several wildlife reserves in Singapore and we have shortlisted few of them for our trip. The third day was fixed for Singapore zoo. Although we have visited many zoos all over the world, we knew that Singapore has something best in store for the visitors. As an animal aficionado, I was delighted to visit this zoo.

I am a punctual person, and as per the plans we stepped into the zoo right at 9 am. We were glad to get the combo tickets for the zoo at discounted rates. Besides watching the animals, there are many more things to do here including special jungle breakfast, shopping, interaction, and many more distinguishing activities.

We started our journey in the zoo by visiting otters. They were so cute that I wanted to take them back in my hand bag! Then we had a relishing breakfast in the Ah Meng restaurant. Few animals popped up at our table and ate along with us too. After having our meal, we headed towards the amphitheatre and enjoyed the splash show by sea lions. It was so amazing to see the well trained animals who always obeyed their masters.

There was a play show of elephants too; it was something that my husband liked a lot as he always loved elephants since his childhood. My favourite element in the zoo was fragile forest. The little animals like sloths, lemurs and mousedeer were jumping around us giving us a tickling feeling every now and then.

Then we took a tram to the final place of the zoo, and even shopped for our family members and friends. There were pretty toys and merchandise of animals available at the gift shop, and I made it a point to get something for my family and for my house as an impression of Singapore.

It was lunch time, and we were totally tired by visiting almost every place of the zoo. My tummy was hungry and we found two good places to munch, Ah Meng Kitchen and Wild Deli. We were so happy to taste the authentic food of Singapore. A great day indeed!
