The Male Friday mosque is the greatest mosque of Maldives. This terrific building design of former times was developed by the Sultan Ibrahim Iskandhar in 1656.  I was particularly impressed by the architecture of the structure. Only one word can describe my feeling i.e. Awesome. In the mosque, there is a library rich in literature over Islam, gathering lobby, classrooms and business locales are likewise accessible. When you stroll up the steps you understand that this symbolizes the significance of Islam in the society of the Maldives.

There's likewise the Friday Mosque implicit the seventeenth century. The Friday Mosque is a perfect work of art of structural planning with likely the best sample of coral cutting anyplace on the planet. The dividers of the mosque are cut together with squares of filigree-bended coral posts. Overwhelming wooden entryways slide open to uncover the inward sanctum with hanging lights and boards unpredictably cut with Arabic script.

Inverse these building you’ve the Presidential Palace. It was patched up in the eighties and this Maldives fascination now holds the government offices. It is a great spot to stop over amid the city visit, we strolled over the entire island by foot so did stop by and take some picture. The mosque is extremely terrific and enormous and I strove for the Friday petitions to God to this gigantic mosque, it was truly pleasant.

The Male Friday Mosque is a pleasant spot to visit for visitors. It's the biggest conceivable mosque in Male and is excellent, serene, clean, no confinements for sightseers of non-Islamic confidence, with the exception of the 5 times supplications to God. Most of the tourists visiting the place are non Muslims. While visiting the Male Friday mosque, I felt the structure was speaking the historical backdrop of Islam in Maldives. The lime stone and the wood workmanship of the structure is impressive and you will never see it any other place else, furthermore the environment around provides for you a crisp breeze. I had great time going around the mosque taking a gander at the routine Maldivian workmanship on the roofs and boards utilizing finish work.

Reaching Maldives, I have my itinerary ready. Consisting of a large group of coral islands, this place was under the United Kingdom sovereignty. As a result Maldives has a long history and it can be very well be explored at the Maldives National Museum. It is the first National Museum of the country and is one of the tourist attractions. I had to purchase an entry ticket to enter the place.

I could figure out large collections of historical importance exhibited in the gallery. The people of the medieval period were known for their patriotism. Collection of objects ranging from stones to shards of antiquities dating back to the Buddhist period until the period of Islamic monarchy was found here.

One of the caretakers at the museum narrated me the history of the museum that it was earlier looked after by the Maldivian Centre for Linguistic and Historical Research. It is separated by the Sultan Park, formerly the palace grounds. The museum complex consists of two large buildings: the actual museum and a National Art Gallery.

The structure was under renovation and offered for the people to visit by the third and incumbent President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed. I personally felt that the place is must-visit for every tourist as there are many important historical objects that can be extremely useful in understanding the history.

I followed the people inside and was surprised to see that the biggest gatherings of travelers to come to the Maldives are the Chinese, developing with a 13 for every penny offer. China likewise holds the record for the most astounding number of travelers landing in the Maldives amid a time of one month, with 13,345 guests in February, beating the European markets.

With the Sultan Park changed from a beautiful place to a haunted monument, it gives reminiscences of the past when it was filled with a lot nature and wild animals offering a peaceful environment for people. Worth over US$7.8 million, the Maldives National Museum presents a true insight to the culture and history of Maldives.

By the time I finished the visit, it was getting dark and I have to move to visit other places of my interests.

I can totally relate to this beautiful quote by Caskie Stinnett. Our lives have become so hectic today and we know we desperately need a break. I planned a trekking trip last year but had to cut it short due to “work emergency”.
