Never Miss the Unparalleled Beauty of Cathedral Cove New Zealand

My days in New Zealand have contributed enriching experience. Long journeys there had never made me tiring for the travel was easy with good roads. Though in the morning I was at loss for that was my last day, the visit to Huka Falls pepped me up.

With the energy and enthusiasm still at high, we traveled to Cathedral Cove, which is quite nearby from the fall. Located in the Coromandel Peninsula, the Cathedral Cove is the result of the sculpture on the rock over the years by the different forms of nature, creating an archway.

This secluded place, once upon a time, has gained increasing tourist attraction. We were ready for a picnic over there. Saving the best one at the end, what an amazing way to end the holiday!

Reaching the peninsula, we started from the Hahei Beach, walking from the north along the cliff to the cove climbing and descending the cliff for an hour. On the way, the coastal scenery was amazing and we went on the side-loop track to walk into the Puriri grove and then reach the main track. Trekking along allowed you to visit the Gemstone Bay and Stingray Bay through the side track.

At the bays, we saw some boulders and sandy beaches, as well as the sea cave. Walking back to the main track, we climbed up to reach the summit of the hill and looked around to catch the breathtaking view of islands. I didn’t want to leave the place, but there were more in store for us, so we walked further to reach the pine forest through scrubland featuring greenish native shrubs. By then, it was climbing down to the Cathedral Cove.

I loved walking through the arch though warning signals were given for the rock falling due to erosion. Popularly known as Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve, this place stretches around nine square kilometers. Rich in marine reserve, New Zealand has this sixth in the list.

Nature and its wonders had started making good impact on me since the visit to some scenic spots. My husband wanted to explore the rich marine reserve of the place and I felt he was right for it might be once in lifetime opportunity. Nevertheless, we were getting late, so we had to drop the plan.

Maldives, which is a cluster four cities, is popular as a tourist destination. A few of the cities I had come across are “Male, Seenu Atoll, Naifaru and Thinadhoo. There are also a bunch of other islands with extremely beautiful beaches. Thinadhoo is situated within 78 kilometres from Male. Thinadhoo, Maldives offers everything that a tourist would honest to goodness expect in a dream holiday destination.

But special mention must be made of the picturesque landscape for which Thinadhoo is renowned. Thinadhoo, Maldives can apropos be called an emerald island as it flourishes with greenery and a variety of full-grown trees and the whole zone is free from pollution. Because of the proliferation of trees the atmosphere here is totally salubrious and most places are shady. Travellers who come here will discover Thinadhoo, Maldives a definitive peaceful escape.

There are many great options available for accommodation like Oceanic Village. With a group of 10 friends we have spent one week vacation at Oceanic Village and I honestly recommend 100% to everybody in search of tranquillity and a good as gold spirit. The beaches in Thinadhoo are simply perfect for strolling down or lying down to tan under the sun. You can likewise enjoy swimming and snorkelling which are the most popular activities here. Thinadhoo, Maldives is uniquely known for its brilliant marine life.

Maldives has numerous beaches, and most of the beaches are known for its pristine nature, clean sand and fresh air. Thinadhoo is prominent for a few of such beaches. Thinadhoo is also an ideal place for those fond of water adventures like snorkelling, scuba diving, undersea coral watching, water scooters, windsurfing etc. Thinadhoo is a place known for its enchanting atolls and enjoy the many exciting recreational options.

Thinadhoo is also known for its abundant fruit and vegetable farms. I indulged myself tasting the some of the mangoes, pineapples etc. Thinadhoo is one heck of a place to get away from normal life and society and just let loose and relax.  I had the chance to travel extensively in many countries; I can say that I have never had this excellent experience before in my life.

Maldive Victory Maldives - A Relaxing Experience

3/2/2015

After an exciting experience at Mata Point I decided to visit Maldive victory, which is really a great place to relax and enjoy the isolated and beautiful scene sitting at the beach with Golden kani. I felt what a wonderful vacation it is!

In addition, it is my first time to experience the snorkeling in this beautiful island seeing so many different color fishes and coral reefs. I knew how to do the snorkeling and really enjoyed it there. The impressive part is the theater and after party. They do really have amazing show every night and that is awesome.

The Maldives Victory was used as a cargo ship until 1981 and the ship had an accident clashing into a coral reef and it was completely destroyed. The wreck is now used as a diving site. Maldives Victory wreck lies at a depth of 35 meters on the western side of the Hulhule Airport Island.

Maldives Victory Wreck

I have never tried snorkeling before and wanted to try at least once. The hull of the vessel lies 30 meters deep inside the azure water. I learned from the trainer that if someone dives into the water and ascends, he or she can watch fishes circling above giving a majestic view.

The Maldives Victory Wreck is a 110-meter long cargo ship now found deep under the water. For sure, the wreck would have been covered by a lot of corals of soft or hard type. While I got ready for diving, I was advised to wear gloves. The bottom depth of the wreck is 37 meters while according to Maldives law it should be the maximum of 30 meters.

I dropped into the water and held around 30 meter as there is plenty of things to see. I then moved up to the stern and bridge area (20 m) swimming through the cabin, where I saw plenty of fusiliers and some jacks. Then I followed another line at 16 m to the top of the mast and up to our safety stop. The visibility was 10 - 15 meters and a warm 28 C with no current on the day we dived.

I enjoyed thoroughly going by these islands, and had good experience of water and water sport, great white sand, and heaps of water animals.

Being an island country, I had my plans cut out at Maldives. A place filled with beaches, I started off for my next exciting destination - Alimatha Island, Maldives. I was wonderstruck when I reached the place for the nature was incredibly beautiful and for sure, any honeymooners or vacationers would agree with me that it is the most beautiful place on the earth.

Alimatha is in Vaavu Atoll and sits on the eastern edge of Maldives roughly 4 degrees north of the equator. Alimatha Island is rich with lavish vegetation and enclosed by beautiful sites such as Dewana Kandu National Park. Getting to the Maldives isn’t difficult, I have booked direct flight from Delhi, so there was no need to change planes or have a long delay.

Once I arrived there, getting to Alimatha Island isn’t difficult. I had a few choices that I could take a seaplane or a speedboat. However, traveling by a cab or other motor vehicles was out of question since I have to hop from one island to another island.

Alimatha Island offered some incredible places to stay. And among the few, Alimatha Aquatic Resort was a popular one. The Alimatha Island is famous for its popular diving locations in the whole world, like Myaru Kandu and Fotteyo Kandu. Diving in the Maldives is a true pleasure; the sheer quantity of dive sites, easy access/proximity to dive sites, abundant and often rare marine fauna makes it an incredible dive area.

Alimatha is the complete Maldivian destination for all tourists because it has everything: world-level diving for both experienced and starters, Ayurvedic massage centre, water sports corner with windsurfing, canoeing and cat sailing, main restaurant and a specialty one.

The Alimatha Island is a magnificent choice for a vacation because it provides a lot of natural beauty as well as the seclusion, which a lot of people are looking for when it comes to the vacation. No doubt, anyone who wants to enjoy time with loved ones, or is looking for a great place to have wedding or honeymoon, the Alimatha Island is a best choice.

Mulee Aage Maldives – Known For its Historical Importance

After visiting other places like Islamic centre my next place to visit in my list was Muliaage. I enquired from the locals and found that Muliaage was appointed by Sultan Muhammad Shamsuddeen III for his child and beneficiary Prince Hassan Izzuddin.

The place is situated just against the presidential jetty and it was built in the style of cabins during pilgrim time in Ceylon, and was finished for the Prince Hassan Izzuddin who was returning from  the royal College of Colombo after his education.  The development of Muliaa'ge, was started in the year 1914 and finished in 1919.

Mulle which means new house was once the maternal home of Sham sudden and was then given to “SultanMuhammad Shamsuddeen III” who was the last possessor.  It remained with the Huraa Dynasty rulers throughout its history.  After a long period of disuse, the first president of the second republic, “Ibrahim Nasir Rannabandeyri Kilegefan” acknowledged this place as the Presidential Palace again the year in 1968.

He used this place as the temporary residence at Muliaa’ge when his house was under construction. After 1986, the government of Maldives used this place for conducting official meeting and as office. The outstanding carvings are truly attractive and it magnetizes several tourists from all over the world.

I was really fascinated by the architectural beauty of this structure. I feel very lucky to choose this place as I love visiting historical places, museums, national parks and all. Tourists who are in love with structural engineering and architecture must visit the place. The historical richness of the place attracts most of the tourists here. I feel the tourist must visit the national museum first and then come to the place. This will help in better understanding the importance of Muliaage.

Interestingly the place is completely well secured by military guards. Though the building has a beautiful ambience, visitors are not allowed often for safety purpose. This place is the most significant and nicest places among the other castles, museums and mosques in Maldives; hence, a visit to Muliaage made me happy and contented.

The Maldives National Museum – Exploring the History of Maldives

Reaching Maldives, I have my itinerary ready. Consisting of a large group of coral islands, this place was under the United Kingdom sovereignty. As a result Maldives has a long history and it can be very well be explored at the Maldives National Museum. It is the first National Museum of the country and is one of the tourist attractions. I had to purchase an entry ticket to enter the place.

I could figure out large collections of historical importance exhibited in the gallery. The people of the medieval period were known for their patriotism. Collection of objects ranging from stones to shards of antiquities dating back to the Buddhist period until the period of Islamic monarchy was found here.

One of the caretakers at the museum narrated me the history of the museum that it was earlier looked after by the Maldivian Centre for Linguistic and Historical Research. It is separated by the Sultan Park, formerly the palace grounds. The museum complex consists of two large buildings: the actual museum and a National Art Gallery.

The structure was under renovation and offered for the people to visit by the third and incumbent President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed. I personally felt that the place is must-visit for every tourist as there are many important historical objects that can be extremely useful in understanding the history.

I followed the people inside and was surprised to see that the biggest gatherings of travelers to come to the Maldives are the Chinese, developing with a 13 for every penny offer. China likewise holds the record for the most astounding number of travelers landing in the Maldives amid a time of one month, with 13,345 guests in February, beating the European markets.

With the Sultan Park changed from a beautiful place to a haunted monument, it gives reminiscences of the past when it was filled with a lot nature and wild animals offering a peaceful environment for people. Worth over US$7.8 million, the Maldives National Museum presents a true insight to the culture and history of Maldives.

By the time I finished the visit, it was getting dark and I have to move to visit other places of my interests.

Hi everybody! Welcome to an alternate intriguing blog that would doubtlessly take you through a stunning journey from Ludhiana to Male through Colombo. I had booked my tickets in II AC in advance for 12926 Paschim Vihar from Ludhiana Junction (LDH) to New Delhi (NDLS). The train arrived on time. I was fortunate to get a decent seat close to the window. Finally, the gatekeeper blew the whistle and the train moved gradually and hauled out of the station.

There were benevolent travellers all around and soon we began talking and kidding among ourselves. The view outside was intriguing and changed: Trees, hedges, fields, etc. After around three hours, I felt lethargic and snoozed off disregarding the rattling sound of the wheels. I woke up and gazed out of the window. We had arrived at New Delhi.  Crossing the rush and hush of railway station. I reached two hours before the departure of the flight. I was travelling through SriLankan Airlines.

I took the boarding passes from the counter, fortunately the flight was on time and I did not had to wait for it. I boarded the flight. The aircraft was clean, new and red seatbelts on dark seat looked extraordinary. No disposable fabric on the headrest.

When flight took off, it was a breeze. SriLankan Airlines is utilizing an Airbus, which is much speedier and can achieve goal snappier. With an airbus, the lodge team scarcely have enough time to server a few beverages and snacks.  The flight was on time and I reached Colombo.

The Sri Lanka centre point is Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), with quick associations all through the system. BIA has earned notoriety for being the finest airplane terminal in South Asia. It has another terminal with aerobridges, agreeable parlours, and an obligation free shopping complex that is second to none in the locale.

My connecting Sri Lankan Airlines flight to Male was after 2 hours so I decided to roam around the airport and I must say, it is a world class airport. Time flew quickly and I boarded the flight to Male. It was a small aircraft. Most of the travellers were tourist. Within 2 hours I reached Male, a great sight while landing. Feeling excited and thrilled, Male here I come.
