This Quote is very inspirational and has a wealth of meaning in it. Einstein rightly says that we should not only focus on success and attain it pledging our values and principles. On the other hand we should give much importance to our values and principles in life.

It was our last day unfortunately, and we thought to spend it by escaping from the city life. Kusu Island is a place, about 5.6 km away from Singapore, which is a great break out place for couples. Serene background, spotless beaches, and blue lagoons, it is simply a perfect location. We came to know that the island was expanded from just a little place to a resort on 8.5 hectare area. Besides the splendid resort place, we even visited additional tourist’s spots here such as the Tortoise sanctuary, wishing well, and some other interesting areas. Basically, the word Kusu in Chinese means Tortoise. And this was the place where a tortoise disguised itself into island in order to save the life of two sailors from a wrecked ship. Hence, the island from then is given the name of Kusu. In Malay, it is called as Pulau Tembakul or Peak Island. Thanks to the staff of the resort who was kind enough to share such interesting story with us. The services offered to us were warm and hospitable and we were enjoying the classy lifestyle away from the busy life of the city. Coming to this island was a right decision of my husband; I will never forget this sacred feeling for years to come. Not just tourists, but even locals come here on weekends and holidays as it is a nice picnic spot. There are numerous tortoises and pilgrimage areas where you can find prosperity. In addition to this, there are various activities we have enjoyed here such as cycling, relishing the multi cuisine, and the best one was resting in the warm sun. From the locals and staff of the island, we came to know handful number of stories about the saints and how the pilgrims were made. Well, I would say that my trip to Singapore was a mixture of learning and fun tour, and I am glad to understand the culture of this South East Asian country.
Finally, we had to leave in the evening as we had our flight to Delhi from Changi airport. I thank Singapore from my bottom of the heart for a fantastic tour! Chilli Crab : I love my job and when I'm not working I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I love to cook for them different dishes that are a speciality of its origin. The chilli crab that I had cooked left everyone wanting some more of it. The rich aromatic seafood is a popular Singaporean dish. If Singapore is on your travel plan list, do not miss having this dish!
After a peaceful day, we wanted to have some fun. Yes, real fun! Singapore is known for its underwater amazement and we planned to visit Underwater World. Before getting into this place, we have inquired everything about the place, the location, timings, and ticket’s price. It took around 60 minutes approximately for us to reach the place. The timings are from 10 in the morning to 7 in evening. The rates are 29.90 Singaporean dollars for adults and 20.60 for children between 3 and 12 age group. There are special buses in which you can directly reach the place without any issues. If you are on a family trip, then this is a must visit place as it offers learning, entertainment, and loads of fun for kids and adults. I like marine animals a lot, and this was a perfect place for me to be in. I came across so many pretty and well behaved animals here including sharks, gentle rays, feeding fishes, dolphins and lots more to keep you excited all day. Some of the masters of the Underwater World dressed up in disguises of octopuses and giant isopods entertained us by walking and crawling all around us through the ocean colonies and bright coloured reefs. There were even pink dolphins and cute seals that interacted with us by posing with us for pictures and by shaking hands. The best thing was the live show of seals and dolphins. My goodness, how talented they are! The live program of dolphins happens four times a day, so there are very less chances of missing it. Some of the unique and interesting programs that we have enjoyed here are dive with sharks, swim with dolphins, and fish reflexology. We have clicked number of pictures with the innocent looking animals that I will cherish these memories forever. If I am given a chance to come here again, then I will be absolutely thrilled. In fact, I will visit Underwater World with my entire family next time and have a happy go lucky time once again!
Sentosa Island Singapore : This wonderful area has an Oceanarium, shops, fountains, nice beaches, a huge statue of the Merlion and also fun cable car rides that you can take over the sea! I did get lost a couple of times but the people and staffs around will help you with any trouble. You can spend an entire day or two at the Sentosa. Entrance fee won’t be more than five dollars!
Although the present hotel in which we were staying was giving a good time, but we wanted to experience something lavish. After browsing through the top hotels and resorts of Singapore, we found resorts world Sentosa - Equarius hotel Singapore to be exclusive and elite. And after checking out its pictures, my heart was saying “this is the perfect place to relax and get some premium services”. My husband agreed and we booked our room online and were all set to kiss the luxuries of one of the finest resorts of Singapore. The resort staff sent us a cab and we had a smooth and wonderful ride to the destination. The chauffeur was sweet enough to describe the famous monuments and places on the way. This was simply a great way to start our deluxe stay at Equarius Hotel. The hotel is located amongst the rainforest region and is just the ideal place for romantic couples who wish to spend their time amidst the natural and serene surroundings. Our room was deluxe with a balcony that gave us breathtaking views of the blue sea water and lush green forest region. The room had every facility that a tourist will need, with spacious bathroom, soft and comfy bed, a mini bar, and the list is pretty long.
The best thing that my husband liked was the 24 hour room service, which is a bit hard to find in other hotels as they have fixed timings. We have spent the entire day in the vicinity of the hotel by relaxing and rewinding ourselves for the next day. Coming to the cuisine, the hotel offers anything you name. It gives a sophistication dining experience to the guests, and you will feel like staying here all your life. Well, a dream is a dream, and we had to leave the place in few days. Therefore, we left not a single moment to take the pleasure of everything that was offered to us. I had even come across the huge rooms that were designed for events and conferences for the guests. All in all, every area of the hotel gave an amazing feel. Telok Ayer Market Singapore : This market is located in the heart of the financial district and is the perfect for any person that loves to eat. The market has fast food places, delicacies of the land as well as beverages. I spent around ten dollars for the food and drink. It was the cheapest and tastiest food I had. My night at the market was really a memorable one!
We heard from various sources that Singapore has many old churches and every tourist must visit them when they are here. So, we made a decision to visit Armenian Church that was constructed in the year 1835. Well, it is indeed an old church! We started from our hotel at 11 am and it took about 60 minutes for us to reach the place. The first look of the white monument gave us a pure feeling much before we entered the place. We have learned the history of the church from the locals and found it to be pretty vast and quite intriguing as well. The architecture, design and construction of the Armenian Church are planned cleverly. The entire place including the garden and parsonage is simply beautiful. When we entered the main place of the church, we were happy to look at the traditional architecture of Armenians. There is a painting of Last Supper above the altar, of Jesus Christ and Apostles. The exterior of the church is designed in a way that it focuses on the safety issues as well. The elegant look of the church pulls number of locals and tourists towards it each day, and still it gives out the feel of ancient culture of 1800s. Simple marvellous! The calmest area in the church was the Garden. It was built in the memory of great Armenians who lost their lives. As per the historical texts, tombstones were brought from Bukit Timah Cemetery in 1970s by Leon Palian. A petite sanctuary is built here to mark the socio economic ties of Singapore. I and my husband found tranquillity here, and thought of sitting for a while to pay homage to the great people of the past. Here, we actually realized how fast the life goes on, and we easily forget the people who gave us such peaceful life.
The sun was about to set, and we had to leave the place and plan the next day with some destination filled with fun. We took a local transport to our hotel, and on the way we discussed how serene the day was well spent. |
