This time he came out with an international holiday trip, which took me by surprise. We started packing our bags and then booked our tickets - railway tickets and flight tickets - online. My journey from Ludhiana to New Zealand started on a Thursday. We had to travel to New Delhi to catch Cathay Pacific flight scheduled for 22.45 hours the same day. Nonetheless, the Hirakund Express (18508) to Delhi was expected to arrive at the Ludhiana Junction at 2.00 am.
Since it was too early in the morning, we did not sleep much. The train arrived on time and we boarded it to mark the beginning of out yet another trip. Once we got into the train, we got ready to sleep because we had good five and a half hours to reach New Delhi. The seats were quite comfortable and we dozed off until the train reached the Panipat Junction. We reached New Delhi at 8.00 in the morning and caught a cab to check into a hotel near the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Economy Class seats were quite comfortable with a reclining facility of six inches to help you relax and sleep well. The nine inches personal television offered a lot of entertainment. The crew was friendly and helpful all along the journey. We reached Auckland at 12.10 hours the next day.
